What is the D5W?

The D5W is the wheeled version of the D5 industrial quadruped, designed to work autonomously in inspection, delivery and events. With two 192-line lidar units and four fisheye cameras, it maps and navigates facilities of up to one million square metres. The wheels let it move quickly and with low power consumption on flat ground without losing the ability to climb steps.

  • Wheeled legs

The hybrid system reaches 5 m/s on flat ground and overcomes 25 cm steps and 30° slopes.

  • 360° perception

Two 192-line 3D lidar units and four fisheye cameras for centimetre-accurate maps and obstacle avoidance.

  • All-weather

    IP67 protection, operation between −20 and 55 °C, and cold start below −10 °C.

  • Voice, gestures and tracking

6-channel microphone with noise reduction, gesture commands and autonomous person tracking.

Applications of the D5W
